Kidz R Us Club Starts a School Library
in El Páramo, Guárico
Kidz R Us Club, Foothill High School, Pleasanton, CA is dedicated to “kids helping kids” in developing countries.
There are over 20 dedicated members who volunteer as they continue through their second year of service.
Kidz R Us donated $300 in October 2003 to build this bookshelf for Escuela Boliviariana and filled it with textbooks and other books; the bookshelf was a precursor to the El Páramo Public Library Project.
The Kidz R Us Club members have worked hard raising money through candy sales, coin drives, and food sales to their fellow high school peers.
Kidz R Us has also expanded its efforts to help needy children in poor regions of Liberia and India.
Vanessa Rodriguez, FUNDVEC's Fundraising Director, decided to expand her fundraising efforts and founded the community service club Kidz R Us at her high school in Pleasanton, CA. She is also concentrating efforts to aid the tsunami victims in South Asia.
